We will read works from authors who have played dominant roles in shaping the English literary tradition these authors include William Wordsworth, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, Salman Rushdie and many others. This course will introduce students to the major movements in British literature since the end of the eighteenth century. English 2202: British Literature, 1800 to Present
